pageAction.show()

Shows the page action for a given tab. The page action is shown whenever the given tab is the active tab.

Syntax

chrome.pageAction.show(
  tabId // integer
)

This API is also available as browser.pageAction.show().

Parameters

tabId
integer. The ID of the tab for which you want to show the page action.

Firefox for Android

  • The 'tabId' parameter is ignored, and the page action is shown for all tabs.

Examples

This example shows the page action for the active tab when the user selects a context menu item. Note that you'll need the contextMenus permission in your manifest to create context menu items.
