pageAction.getTitle()

Gets the title of the page action.

Syntax

chrome.pageAction.getTitle(
  details,               // object
  function(result) {...} // function
)

This API is also available as browser.pageAction.getTitle() in a version that returns a promise.

Parameters

details
object.
tabId
integer. The ID of the tab whose title you want to get.
callback
function. The function is passed the following arguments:
result
string. The title for the given tab.

Examples

This example logs the page action's title when the user clicks its icon:

chrome.pageAction.onClicked.addListener((tab) => {
  chrome.pageAction.getTitle({
