    Side Bar

    Description

    The side bar provides local navigation options to help readers find related resources. Most pages use the standard side bar, but some pages (see the types of pages) will customize the content. In all cases, the look & feel of the sidebar should be the same.

    Block Layout

    • Community
      • links to web forums, news groups, mailing lists, weblogs, rss feeds and irc channels for the topic
    • Related Topics
      • list of related topic and reference libraries for the topic
    • Discuss
      • "Discuss this page" which leads to the wiki talk page
      • "Submit a related item" which pops up the "Press It - MDC Web Watch" popup
        • if possible, we should modify this so that the category is pre-set
