bookmarks.onChanged

Fired when there is a change to:

  • the title or URL of a bookmark
  • the name of a folder.

Syntax

chrome.bookmarks.onChanged.addListener(function(
  id,        // string
  changeInfo // object
) {...})
chrome.bookmarks.onChanged.removeListener(listener)
chrome.bookmarks.onChanged.hasListener(listener)

This API is also available as browser.bookmarks.onChanged.*.

Events have three functions:

addListener(callback)
Adds a listener to this event.
removeListener(listener)
Stop listening to this event. The listener argument is the listener to remove.
hasListener(listener)
Check whether listener is registered for this event. Returns true if it is listening, false otherwise.

addListener syntax

Parameters

callback

Function that will be called when this event occurs. The function will be passed the following arguments:

id
string. ID of the item that changed.
changeInfo
object. Object containing the Additional objects

Additional objects

changeInfo

title
string. Title of the changed item.
urlOptional
string. URL of the changed item. This is not present if the item was a folder..
