JSON.parse() は文字列を JSON として解析します。この文字列は有効な JSON であるべきであり、不正確な構文に出会った場合、このエラーをスローします。
例
JSON.parse() 末尾のカンマを許可しない
両方の行で SyntaxError がスローされます：
JSON.parse('[1, 2, 3, 4, ]');
JSON.parse('{"foo" : 1, }');
// SyntaxError JSON.parse: unexpected character
// at line 1 column 14 of the JSON data
末尾のカンマを省略すると、正確に JSON を解析でいます：
JSON.parse('[1, 2, 3, 4 ]');
JSON.parse('{"foo" : 1 }');
プロパティ名は、ダブルコーテーションで囲まなければならない
'foo' のように、プロパティを囲むためにシングルコーテーションを使用できません。
JSON.parse("{'foo' : 1 }");
// SyntaxError: JSON.parse: expected property name or '}'

替わりに "foo" と書いた場合：
JSON.parse('{"foo" : 1 }');
先頭の 0 と小数点
01 のように、先頭の 0 は使用できません。また、小数点の後には少なくとも 1 桁以上が続くべきです。

0 を除いて 1 とだけ書きます。また、小数点の後に少なくとも 1 桁はつけます：
