개요

HTML <map> 요소는 이미지 맵(클릭 가능한 링크 영역)을 정의하기 위해 <area>와 함께 사용됩니다.

• 컨텐츠 범주 플로우 컨텐츠, 구문 컨텐츠, palpable 컨텐츠.
• 허용된 컨텐츠 모든 transparent 요소.
• 태그 생략 None, both the starting and ending tag are mandatory.
• 허용된 부모 요소구문 컨텐츠를 허용하는 모든 요소
• DOM 인터페이스 HTMLMapElement

속성

이 요소는 전역 속성을 포함합니다.

name

name 속성은 map에 이름을 부여하여 참조될수 있도록 합니다. 이 속성은 무조건 존재해야 하며, 공백 문자가 없는, 비어있지 않은 값이여야합니다. The value of the name attribute must not be a compatibility-caseless match for the value of the name attribute of another map element in the same document. If the id attribute is also specified, both attributes must have the same value.

[1] Starting in Gecko 5.0 (Firefox 5.0 / Thunderbird 5.0 / SeaMonkey 2.2), empty maps are no longer skipped over in favor of non-empty ones when matching when in quirks mode. For example, consider the following HTML:

<img usemap="#a" src="image.png">

Prior to Gecko 5.0, the <img> element would have matched to the second, non-empty map. Now it matches against the first one, even though it's empty.

[2] From Firefox 17 the default styling of the <map> HTML element is display: inline; and no more display: block;. This matches the behavior of the other browsers and was already the case in quirks mode.
