Math.sqrt()

La  función Math.sqrt() retorna la raiz cuadrada de un numero, que es$$\forall x \geq 0, \mathtt{Math.sqrt(x)} = \sqrt{x} = \text{the unique} \; y \geq 0 \; \text{such that} \; y^2 = x$$

Math.sqrt(x)

Return value

The square root of the given number. If the number is negative, NaN is returned.

Descripción

Si el valor de x es negativo Math.sqrt() retorna NaN.

Because sqrt() is a static method of Math, you always use it as Math.sqrt(), rather than as a method of a Math object you created (Math is not a constructor).
