El elemento HTML <figcaption> representa un subtítulo o leyenda asociado con una imagen o ilustración descrita por el resto de los datos asociados con el elemento <figure> que sea su ancestro inmediato, lo que significa que <figcaption> puede ser el primer elemento dentro un bloque <figure> . Además el Elemento HTML Figcaption es opcional; y si no se especifica, el elemento padre figure no tendrá leyenda.
