This feature is non-standard and is not on a standards track. Do not use it on production sites facing the Web: it will not work for every user. There may also be large incompatibilities between implementations and the behavior may change in the future.
Devuelve el tipo MIME con el que el documento está siendo renderizado. Puede obtenerlo a partir de los encabezados HTTP (Headers) o de otras fuentes de información MIME, y puede ser afectado por conversiones automáticas inferidas tanto por el navegador como por cualquiera de sus extensiones.
Sintáxis
contentType = document.contentType;
contentType es una propiedad de sólo lectura.
Notas
Esta propiedad no es afectada por los tags meta.
