This is an experimental technology
Because this technology's specification has not stabilized, check the compatibility table for usage in various browsers. Also note that the syntax and behavior of an experimental technology is subject to change in future versions of browsers as the specification changes.

Summary

The inline-size CSS property defines the horizontal or vertical size of an element's block depending on its writing mode. It corresponds to the width or the height property depending on the value defined for writing-mode.

If the writing mode is vertically oriented, the value of inline-size relates to the height of the element, otherwise it relates to the width of the element. It relates to block-size, which defines the other dimension of the element.
