MozMobileMessageManager.send()

This API is available on Firefox OS for internal applications only.

Summary

The send method is used to send an SMS message to one or more receivers.

Syntax

var request = navigator.mozMobileMessage.send(receivers, message);

Parameters

receivers
This parameter can be a string (representing the phone number of the receiver) or an Array of string to have the message sent to more than one receiver.
message
A string representing the message to send.

Return

If receivers was a string, a DOMRequest object to handle the success or error of the operation.
If receivers was an Array of string, an Array of DOMRequest objects to handle the success or error of the operation for each receiver.

Specifications

This is a non-standard implementation, but it is discussed at W3C as part of the System Application Working Group.
