Notification.noscreen

This article needs a technical review. How you can help.

Note: This property is not currently supported in any browser.

The noscreen read-only property of the Notification interface specifies whether the notification firing should enable the device's screen or not, as specified in the noscreen option of the Notification() constructor.

Syntax

var noscreen = Notification.noscreen;

Value

A Boolean. false is the default; true makes the notification not enable the device's screen.

Examples

The following snippet is intended to fire a notification that doesn't light up the user's screen if it is not already turned on; a simple options object is created, and then the notification is fired using the Notification() constructor.

var options = {
  body: 'Do you like my body?',
  noscreen: true
}

var n = new Notification('Test notification',options);

n.noscreen // should return true
