The clear()
method of the Storage
interface, when invoked, will empty all keys out of the storage.
Syntax
storage.clear();
Parameters
No parameter.
Returns
No return value.
Example
The following function creates three data items inside local storage, then removes all of them using clear()
.
function populateStorage() { localStorage.setItem('bgcolor', 'red'); localStorage.setItem('font', 'Helvetica'); localStorage.setItem('image', 'myCat.png'); localStorage.clear(); }
