Non-standard
This feature is not on a current W3C standards track, but it is supported on the Firefox OS platform. Although implementations may change in the future and it is not supported widely across browsers, it is suitable for use in code dedicated to Firefox OS apps.
The mozbrowseractivitydone
event is fired when something inside the browser <iframe>
triggers a web activity, and that web activity's message is consumed by the receiving app.
If the activity has a returnValue
set to true, then the activity is consumed when postResult or postError is invoked on the activity by the receiving app.
Note: For activities where the receiving app's activity definition in its manifest does not include returnValue
or returnValue
is false
, no mozbrowseractivitydone
event will be generated as of the landing of bug 1194525 in Firefox OS 2.5. postResult and postError calls made on such an activity will be ignored and have no effect.
