New MathJax option available in Wikipedia. If you have a Wikipedia account, mathematical formulas can now be rendered with MathML!

Accepted student proposals announced on the Google Summer of Code 2012 site. This year, one Mozilla MathML Project has been accepted: Dynamic MathML. Congratulations to Andrii Zui! You can follow his weekly report here. Other students that were not finally accepted still plan to work in the Mozilla MathML project this summer, so various improvements are expected this summer... stay tuned!

  • Two Google Summer of Code subjects:
    • SVG/MathML clipboard features
    • Improving MathML Font Support

Firefox 4.0 has been released! This new version comes with several bug fixes and new features for MathML. Some improvements are particularly worth noting:

  • A new HTML parser, which lets you use MathML inside non-XHTML documents.
  • Complete support for STIX fonts 1.0.
  • Better rendering of mathematical symbols, especially stretchy operators.
